CESP has made available the 2024 audit of EAR>INSIGHTS to its members currency survey for delivering media planning data and observing radio listening. CESP considers the system to be satisfactory; however, it emphasizes the importance of being able to exclude podcasts and replay from media planning tools, which are purchased in a different way to live listening.
CESP has made available the 2024 audit of the Mediamat panel to its members. The Scientific Committee of CESP considers that the new Mediamat system (anywhere any device) is generally of high quality and that the resources used by Médiamétrie to ensure the value of the measurement are satisfactory.
CESP has made available to its members the audit of the weekly cinema audience study carried out by Vertigo. CESP notes the improvements made to the study following the recommendations of its Scientific Committee. However, it recommends that the necessary methodological changes be made to improve the reliability of the results.
CESP notes that the methodology of the system has stabilised, although it still faces measurement difficulties linked to ongoing and growing technological developments in the universe to be studied. The main change is the new establishment survey used to calculate the theoretical figures of Internet users on the various screens, with the launch of the same establishment survey for both television and Internet audience measures.
CESP has made its annual audit report available to its members on the EAR>National study, which measures the audience of radio stations at a national level. It highlights that the transition to a passive audience collection method has simplified the execution and processing of the study without compromising its methodology. However, it points out that, strictly speaking, the results from the September-October 2023 wave are no longer strictly comparable with those of previous waves.
ACPM OneNext study is the audience study for the press in France. Its aim is to measure and qualify the audience for press brands, integrating all media and all modes of access to content. CESP audit report focuses on the conduct of the study in 2023 and the results published in H1 2024.
Between June 2023 and February 2024, CESP audited Cityz Media’s DOOH* indoor audience measurement for malls. This audit report consisted of reviewing the documentation and the implementation of technical tests.
CESP has made available to its members the 2022 audits of the Mediamat panel and its establishment survey Home Devices. The monitoring of the fieldwork and the analysis of the results testify the good conditions in which the studies were carried out.
The Vertigo Institute carries out the measurement of the cinema audiences at the request of advertising sales houses and CNC (Centre National du cinéma et de l’image animée). This project is divided into two parts, the annual etablishment survey and weekly studies.
These two components were audited for the first time in 2021. In 2022, CESP focused on the establishment survey.
